Kağan Dağtekin, CEO of Doğan Holding Automotive Group Companies, said, “We receive requests from shopping malls, business centres, estates and even some premium apartment projects that have just begun construction in Istanbul. We expect this demand for charging stations to increase even more, especially with the 'New Parking Regulation' prepared and announced by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization last week. We are happy to have concluded this agreement in such a period, and we are excited about the future of Wallbox," said Dağtekin, who stated that the distributorship agreement would add value to Doğan Trend Automotive's electric mobility investment: Charging infrastructure is important for the widespread use of automobiles. It was not difficult to foresee the demand for chargers and we started to search accordingly. Wallbox attracted our attention as one of the leading and successful companies in its field. When we say pioneers, they took the name Wallbox, which has become a common name today, before these devices were even named in the world! I wish the best for both parties. We want to add colour to the electric mobility world with our Wallbox chargers, which we believe will move to another phase with the domestic electric TOGG, which is gaining momentum.”
Wallbox and Intelligent Management Systems
Wallbox goes beyond being a standard electric vehicle charger by providing the opportunity to operate multiple devices simultaneously and considering infrastructure problems, with the solutions it offers in individual and corporate areas with its smart management systems.
Power Balancing Feature; thanks to its smart charging feature that prevents houses from exceeding the maximum installed power capacity, it helps to avoid high electricity bills by dynamically balancing the load between the charger and other devices in the house. Wallbox measures the energy drawn from the power source and transfers the remaining power to the vehicle, against the depletion of the maximum installed power of the houses by charging the vehicle in addition to the electricity consumed by the lights burning in the rooms, television, refrigerator and oven. When the energy usage decreases, it increases the power to the vehicle again. Thus, when the maximum installed power capacity is reached, the intelligent charge control system automatically reduces the power consumed by the vehicle and completely pauses the charging session until enough power is available again.
With the Power Sharing Feature, load balancing or tuning allows network operators or businesses with multiple chargers to proportionally distribute available energy capacity to all active EV charging stations. In this way, it distributes the available power equally among all connected charging points and allows all connected vehicles to keep their performance at their most efficient.
Charging Solutions for Home and Business
Offering smart solutions in electric charging stations for homes and businesses, Wallbox offers real-time remote monitoring and control via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Ethernet and 3G/4G. In addition, the brand, which has Bluetooth, RFID, PIN code, face and mimic recognition options for user identification, offers the opportunity to monitor and remotely control the status of the charger with the portal accessible from a computer or smartphone, thanks to myWallbox.
