Uğur Sakarya, an experienced professional in the automotive industry, joined the Doğan Trend family as Assistant General Manager in charge of Retail Operations, Car Rental and Suvmarket.

Adding the MG to its portfolio in 2021 and achieving a share of more than 15% in the electric car market in the last 6 months, Doğan Trend Automotive showed its ambition to take a leading role in the electric transformation by offering the KYMCO and Silence e-motorcycle brands in our country in the same period. Moreover, Doğan Trend Automotive, aiming to further strengthen its well-qualified management structure, has incorporated Uğur Sakarya, one of the most experienced names in the automotive industry, as Assistant General Manager responsible for Retail Operations, Car Rental and Suvmarket.

Who is Uğur Sakarya?
Uğur Sakarya is graduated from ITU Mechanical Engineering Department and has an important place in the automotive sector with his 20-year background. He started his career with engineering, and he took his first step into the automotive sector in 2000 as Tofaş After Sales Regional Manager at Koç Group. Then he continued as Otokoç Branch Manager in 2004 and gained his first senior management experience in 2011 as Otokoç Automotive Assistant General Manager. Following these, he was transferred to Borusan Automotive Group as Borusan Oto General Manager in 2014 and became the BMW-MINI Turkey General Manager in 2018. Uğur Sakarya, who also works as a consultant in the automotive industry, gained entrepreneurship and e-commerce experience as the Founding General Manager of VavaCars in 2019, and most recently served as Otomol General Manager in 2020-21.
