History Of Wallbox

Wallbox is a company that designs, develops and manufactures smart charging solutions for electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids for both home and business use which was founded in 2015 by Enric Asunción and Eduard Castañeda. Major automobile manufacturers and large electricity companies are among its customers. Product testing, production and technical development processes are carried out in the Barcelona factory, which has an annual production capacity of 500,000 chargers.

Since its inception, Wallbox has sought to lead a paradigm shift in the use of electric chargers to accelerate and expand electro mobility by identifying the need for smart chargers that can communicate with homes and cars, optimizing their performance according to criteria and users' wishes and needs. This approach, which the company has maintained throughout its five-year history, has led to a rapid growth by large investors from Europe and America providing financing investments and creating confidence in the sector. With the support of these important investments, Wallbox became a global company and expanded its sales network to more than 50 countries.

Wallbox is headquartered in Barcelona and Madrid. There are two production facilities in Barcelona, one already operating and the other late under construction. In addition, Wallbox has offices in many parts of the world.

The company has offices in Shanghai and Suzhou in China. Wallbox's only production facility outside of Europe is Wallbox FAWSN Charging Systems Co Ltd, which manufactures and sells products for the Chinese market.
